*Sleeping about 11 hours at night and 2/3 during the day (2 naps still, wake up around 6:30 so nap around 9:30 and then 1:30/2).
*You tried an orange this month and loved it! You still love bread and fruit.  You had honey animal cookies too.

New Skills
*helping to get herself dressed & undressed
*grabbing her shoes or ours when its time to go "bye bye"
*blowing on her food
*using a fork better - still throws some food on the ground but its not as bad
*She's taking multiple steps (the most so far is about 10)!!

Your favorite activity is to go bye bye,  you love to get out of the house and go go go!  You have some new toys you like - a baby doll, a pop up toy (you learned to twist the nob or pull to make it pop!), your bus you like still and of course books!  You still love to read :)

13 months

Here what month 13 looked like!

Playing at the park! 5.1.15
Cubbies!!! First hot dog :) 5.2.15

Getting used to the grass... This month she actually started crawling on it instead of being scared to touch it ;) 5.7.15

Loving the swing set. Swinging and slides are a hit! 5.14.15

Birthday party for a one year old!!!! 5.16.15 I had some fun crafting :)

New bus toy and hanging out outside :) summer weather with baby shorts = love.  5.17.15

5.23.15 you announced to the world your gonna be a big sister come November!!! We think your excited ;)

5.24.15 officially 13 months today and your first real corn on the cob experience!!! You love corn now :)

You are now in size 4 diapers since you started to leak at night :) you are in all 12-24 month clothing. Mostly 18 month short sleeves and shirts.
You are still willing to try new food and always want what we are eating. You had banana and peanut butter but only wanted the peanut butter !
Your new thing is identifying your belly, toes, head and sometime nose.
You have successfully transitioned to a sippy cup all day long :) we thought it would be harder but actually after 2 days you pretty much got it. We started with lunch and then moved to breakfast and then snack. We still do a bottle at night because I can't let go ;) so you average 20oz a day if you drink it all and 16 if your  picky!
Your still on two naps. A morning one around 9:39/10 and an afternoon one at 2:00. You go to bed at 7 still and sleep till 6:30.
You say so many words. Baby, puppy, mama, dada, nana, teeth, bubble, pop (popping bubbles), hi, ha (for hot), wawa, baba, papa, pees (please), nahne(hungry), buh bye, belly!

Your so smart and happy! We love you and are just amazed and all our little interactions and how much you understand us :)

Our after crying putting you to bed as a one year old! All I could think about was our first night together in the hospital. You were so precious, tiny and brand new to us! Such a gift from the Lord, your joy is evident in your day to day life and you teach me so much. You have made me a better human being, better mommy, better wife and a more grateful person!
I 💜 you!

11 months

Mackenzie!  You are 11 months old!

I can't even begin to describe without forgetting all of the cute things you do.  You clap and wave (hi & bye), you do "so big", you blow kisses, you give open mouth kisses (a favorite!), you crawl, cruise around everything... and a day after 11 months you ATE finger foods!!! Finally.  This has been mommy's big "stress" trying to get you to eat food and wondering what our day will look like.  Now just a few short days later you are eating a lot of food and its a whole new journey.

Lets see, you still love the hide n spin monkey toy, you really started to like to play the piano, you like your cube (fun on 5 sides haha), you like stuffed animals, reading books and rolling around in blankets.  You eat kleenex and wipes if they are left on the ground and you ripe them apart.  You are so much more aware of what is going on around you!  You say baba when you see your bottle, mama, dada, and kinda say ni-ni when we say its time for bed.  You are starting to say sounds after we do like na-na and pa-pa.

This month you went on your first vacation with the Lankford family (Nana, Papa, and Uncle Tim).  We went up to Lake Geneva for a couple days.  You actually slept in the bathroom (no judging please....) because it was the quietest, darkest room!  We walked downtown and had you very bundled up, we swan two days in the pool - you LOVE it.  You did well being on such a weird schedule and being out and about.

Unfortunately most of this month you were sick.  First with a nasty cold & cough and then a short flu bug.  Not fun... so you had your first days of pedialyte and eating only applesauce.  It was not fun for mommy but YOU did well and were not super grumpy.  You still took naps and slept through the night!!

Your schedule is the same except an hour later because of the time change.  We lowered your milk intake so you would eat more solids.  Thats about it!
6:30/7 am awake and bottle - 6 oz
8:30 breakfast (yogurt and prunes)
9:30 nap
11 6 oz bottle
12 lunch
3 6 oz bottle
4:30/5 Dinner
6:30 Bedtime and down by 7!

This next month we are trying to combine your meals with milk (formula still) so we can take the milk from a sippy and start to get away from bottles.  Mommy and Daddy have a plan but we will have to see who you like formula in a sippy cup and if you can eat and drink that much together.  Its a whole new world getting you off the bottle - I still remember when we tried so hard by 3 months to have you TAKE a bottle!!! Its a little bit sad to me that someday soon you will have your last one... It makes me realize how big you have gotten and that so soon you will be 1!!!  I cannot believe this.  My sweet little tiny newborn a ONE year old.

When you were sick and just laid down on me all day..

11 months!!!

Swimming at the Y

You had a visit to the easter bunny and were so excited.  You did not cry or anything!! Easter is in about a week and we are remembering Jesus died on the cross for us  because he loved us, he provided a way for us to God and we are forgiven!
Love you bug

Walks

Mackenzie and I go on a walk every day (when it's nice enough). Our neighborhood is small enough that a full round takes about 20 minutes. Most of the time we weave in and out so its longer. This week has been glorious!

I can't believe early March (the 9th to be exact) has started our "walks". I pray the weather continues!

Mike and I would go on walks together when we first got married and when we moved to our new house. When I was pregnant too! So I hope Mackenzie continues to enjoy our walks together & as a family.
I remember her first one at 2 weeks old.. I love watching her look around at all the new sights.. Now that she's older it's like she's in awe! Her little blue eyes are beautiful reflecting the sky :)

Love her eyes. Can't believe these brown eyed parents got a blue eyed baby girl <3
